Everyone is welcome to play at The Ocala Escape! While our games are generally best suited for teens and adults, families are absolutely welcome and many younger players have a great time participating. To ensure safety and an enjoyable experience for all guests: • Children 5 and under play free of charge. • Children 4 and under must be held or remain in a stroller during the game due to safety and liability requirements. • Children 13 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult inside the room at all times. Some rooms may include sound effects, lighting changes, or themes that are more exciting for older children, so we recommend parental discretion when booking.

No special attire is required — just come ready to have fun! We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as you may be moving around, bending, or searching for clues during your adventure. High heels, flip-flops, or restrictive clothing aren’t recommended, but there’s no need for costumes or athletic gear — just dress comfortably and you’ll be good to go!

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled game time. This allows time for check-in, waivers, a quick briefing, and getting your team ready to begin your adventure on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced game time, as games must start promptly to stay on schedule for other bookings.

No — you are never actually locked inside the room. For safety reasons, all escape rooms at The Ocala Escape can be exited at any time. Your game master is always monitoring your experience, and emergency exits are clearly marked. The “locked in” part is all part of the story — the adventure feels real, but your safety always comes first.

We get it — sometimes life happens! Here’s how changes work with your booking at The Ocala Escape: • All bookings are non-refundable within 72 hours of your scheduled time. Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance will receive a refund minus a 5% or $5 processing fee (whichever is greater). • Reservations may be rescheduled at no cost with at least 24 hours’ notice. Rescheduling within 24 hours is not permitted unless approved, in which case a $25 rescheduling fee will apply. • Same-day cancellations are not allowed. • Because we reserve your room just for your group, refunds are only issued if these notice requirements are met. If you need help rescheduling or canceling, please contact us as soon as you can — we’re happy to assist!

Yes. All participants are required to sign a waiver before playing. For guests under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver on their behalf. Waivers can be completed online before arrival or in person at check-in, but we highly recommend completing them ahead of time to help your game start on time.

While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, availability cannot be guaranteed without a reservation. During the week, The Ocala Escape operates by reservation only, so we strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

Each adventure at The Ocala Escape has a different maximum occupancy: • Mr. Elegoo’s Enchanted Emporium — up to 8 players • Cabin in the Woods — up to 6 players • The Basement — up to 4 players If your group has more than 8 participants, we recommend reserving multiple scenarios so everyone can enjoy the experience comfortably.

No problem at all! You can reserve the game by purchasing tickets for at least 2 players to secure your time slot. The remaining players may pay upon arrival. Since all of our games are private experiences, the game will automatically appear as sold out once the initial tickets are purchased — ensuring your group’s spot is fully reserved.
